Grill
I had a list of items I needed to cleanup before the Ripon Emergency Vehicle Show in October, on that list was repainting the grill. The push bar needed to be removed prior to getting the grill out. My plan was to avoid taking it apart too much as to not impact the headlight adjustments. The black finish panel is actually anodized aluminum so I first sanded to face of the fins that should be natural then masked them off, it went well as the razor slid along the fins nicely. Some portions of the fins needed to be blacked out as well so those were trimmed back to a measurement that was taken prior to sanding. All that done the panel was painted black. Will continue tomorrow. | |
