Reflections

Maybe in a few years I'll look back at this and reflect.

Grandpa's Legacy

March 16, 2019

Fortunately I was able to get a pair of NOS defroster hoses, for some reason they were not put on the ten years ago.

When I did the car ten years ago there were a few things I didn't know and the hood latch needed to be cleaned up. It was blasted and painted, better than it was but I' not happy, need to locate a NOS one.

I put a reproduction MOPAR oil filter on the car, not much you can do if the graphic isn't an ideal location.

The only alternator bolt that I had was just a little long so an extra washer was used.

When I did the car ten years ago I did it as a Commando including the badges, going back to 2 barrel meant I would need to install the NOS badges I had. I thought I might be able to get to them through the hood hinge opening, nope. I ended up squeezing in through the back with door open. The Commando emblems left some marks, oh well.

A couple items I have retained from when my Grandparents had the car were the Delrin battery wing nuts and the heater hose bracket that my Grandfather made.
