I see no reason why that bellcrank was painted on the engine.

Miscellaneous Details

The parts book list two different power steering hoses for the 273, the one for the two barrel has a horseshoe loop on one end and the one for the Commando 273 does not. There are no differences in the power steering systems between the two engines so I see no reason for the differences in the hoses.

For some reason my car had the one that should have been for the Commando. The one for the Commando is also used on B-Bodies with a Hemi so locating an NOS one is not going to happen. Out of curiosity I located an NOS one for the two barrel to see what the difference was (I knew my original matched the Hemi one).

The currently sold hoses for both (most all) applications is the Hemi style, although the crimp style is different even though I feel they are made by the original manufacturer. The throttle linkage along with the kick-down was finished out, I know the bellcrank should be painted red but I chose to pass on that.

An NOS battery cable that had been previously installed was cleaned up and installed, another part that reproductions be sold as concourse correct are not even close. The lower portions on the originals have a woven jacketing on them.
