Caged
One thing I discovered near the end of the restoration was that this car had a protective barrier (cage) and I have debated whether or not I was going to put one in. The problem was figuring out what it looked like and how it was built. Two things I worked from was a photograph of a 1961 that had a cage and a cage out of later car (maybe a mid 90's Caprice). I started off by making a template of the interior and getting some dimensions. With that in hand I could look at having a shop fabricate one. | |
