Reflections The bad weld was one of my leftovers from installing the rear window section, he cleaned it up just fine. The wheel lip section couldn't have been more perfect of a fit, the section was already cut and the rest of it was already gone. We were lucky the other side was fine. |
...One Step Back On to the next day started off working the driver side to match the passenger side. Along the way a crack showed up on the c-pillar, looks like I may have ground a weld a little thin. With that taken care of work progressed onto the quarter and right away rust pinholes started showing up. On the left side much of the wheel lip was bad so much it was decided to replace it all fortunate enough the parts car still had this piece so we removed it. With the replacement in hand it was transferred to the car and the damage was removed, well half of it. It quickly became apparent that the wheel house would be needing work as well, again fortunately we were careful in removing the outer piece from the parts car that were still could salvage the inner piece as well. Once again my procrastinating saved me, the parts car that I have been trying to get rid of saves the day. The right side will need work but we're not sure on how much, not knowing I closed out the day by removing that piece from the parts car as well. | ||
