Picture Day Redoux
The weather was more suited for pictures than the other day so I took a bunch more. With the top down I took some time and looked at the top mechanism the best I could as you can see things differently that you can with the top up. One thing I noticed was a questionable repair using improper hardware and it was coming apart. The new cylinders arrived so I needed to put the top up, that gave me the opportunity to look at the questionable hardware and see what I needed to do to fix it. Like I thought, a woodworking tee nut acting as a bushing and a nut, it worked but probably not much longer. Even though I had the new cylinders I was going to have to wait till I got the new hardware which included new clevis pins. | |
