I only had the car a year or so before the engine let loose, my 80 miles a day didn’t take to well. Knowing nothing about engines I sent the car to have the engine rebuilt, at this time it had well over 150,000 miles on it. All-n-all I got the car back with a blue engine, aarrg! I noticed at that time that the vacuum control valve and exhaust heat shield were missing, they said both were tossed, the valve wasn’t needed and a new exhaust gasket was used (list of parts to look for was just created). Only other detail of this round was an exhaust manifold was replaced because it was cracked, don’t recall what side (thinking, drivers).
