Reflections

Maybe in a few years I'll look back at this and reflect.

May 25-26, 2019

Today I am the same age my grandfather was when he purchased this car new. I always thought it was cool that this old guy bought a sporty car, now who's the "old guy"

It is funny how thing you remember hearing about the car are not quite what you remember. Recently I was looking through some old receipts and found one for the rocker mouldings, I knew they were not factory installed but I was always under the impression it was part of the initial purchase deal, guess not.

Another receipt was for a couple parts, not sure what they are, my grandfather told the story of the car dying on the way to the mountains and having to use a gum wrapper to bypass the ballast resistor and getting a new one in town. The Western Auto could have been it? The last one was for replacing some of the windshield trim and caps because the trim would shrink and the caps would fly off, this was on a car that wasn't even a year old.
