Talk about faith, for the most part a trouble free trip.

Oregon

August 20-24, 2009

Road trip to Oregon to show the car to a couple friends. 300 Miles was the first stop was for a photo-op at the Golden Gate Bridge. The first lot I got to was no good. I moved on and found a better spot but there were a few cars and some people. A few pictures while I waited for the space to clear out enough (and this was a Thursday).

Hawk Hill on the north side of the bridge, Once again waiting...

The next group were taken along the Sonoma Coast north of Bodega Bay at multiple different stops.

Day one closed at Eureka with 600 miles traveled and 14 hours with stops.

Day two continued up the coast, about 6 miles north of Klamath (70 out of Eureka) I pulled into a view point thinking it was going to be the first of many, turned out I only stopped twice later. 34 miles later I'd be in Oregon.

The Arch Rock view point, now in Oregon.

As beautiful as the Oregon coast may be there just were not many places along the highway to stop and take pictures, I only stopped once after the Arch Rock stop.

Day two ended at my friend's house with about 425 miles over 10 hours with stops.

My friend and I went out to see another friend, the one who restored the trim where we found him helping a friend with his RC Helicopter.

Before leaving I had to get a shot of my Barracuda with my friends Copper Barracuda.

I left the Portland area East towards Mount Hood and south through Bend. As I left the Mount Hood area Mount Jefferson came into view further south.

Beyond that just south of Warm Springs along the Deschutes River. Another 150 miles south I ended up at Crater Lake.

Getting late and the sun is in the wrong location so a few pictures of the surrounding area as I headed down into Klamath Falls. Day four ended in Klamath Falls after 450 plus miles and 15 hours.

Heading towards Mount Shasta in the morning had the sun in a bad place for pictures. Once I made it back to Interstate-5 I was in places I have been before and didn't stop for pictures. About 625 miles later I was home, about a 9 hour day.

The total trip was about 2175 miles, till this trip the furthest the car has ever been from home was about 300.
