Funneled
Now that the tank is back in I needed to get 23 gallons of gas back in the problem is that it is virtually impossible to pour gas out of a gas can into these cars as the bumper gets in the way. Initially I went to the parts store looking for a long flexible funnel but nothing, I did see a 90 degree exhaust sweep and though it might fit into the filler so I got it. At home I realized the pipe was too big so I looked for options, found a funnel that I could cut so the opening was as big as it could be and still fit into the filler neck. I was able to press the pipe into the funnel enough to keep it there and hopefully not leak. The pipe was secured to the bumper with a funnel placed on it, with the trunk protected I was able to pour the gas in as fast as it would come out of the can. | |
