It might have been moot point but getting primer on it made me feel good and covered up an eyesore.
Black and White No More
With the interior basically all cleaned up I felt it was time to finish it off and primer it along with the firewall. Even though the rust repair isn't done yet I thought that I might as well prime the full car. Overall the body is in good shape so I went over it thoroughly with a couple different grits. With the sanding done I got a good look at the lower quarters and could see some rust holes, looks like a small patch will take care of it.
This is the update I had hopes of doing Friday but with class canceled I went with plan B, shot the primer in my garage. Not much to say other than I only used 1/2 a quart and it is only one coat, I'll probably put a second coat on the interior, firewall and jams and leave the rest for when the bodywork is done.
I still need to clean up the tail panel and I take care of the other quarter when I do that.
