Reflections

Talk about cutting your teeth, first time welding and it didn't come out all that bad.

Well Well Well

The other day I was at the Spring Fling car show in Van Nuys selling parts in the swap meet and I get a call from Ron, he asks if I want a real CHP 69 Polara like I need to answer. I proceeded to let him know it was all about money, what does he want and how much do I have.

The way I understand it this person comes up to Ron and says “I have one of these”, (not sure of the full proper conversation) Ron returns “are you sure?” as most people end up having a civilian car, different year, or agency. He assures Ron that what he has is a genuine CHP 1969 Dodge Polara.

On to the Progress

May 2, 2010

More parts were collected, this time the lamps for the deck lights as I’m still looking for the red for the spotlight. I felt this was a good time to paint the antenna ball and spring.

Ron went up to look at the car we were told about and reported back, by now I have pretty much stopped working on this car in anticipation of getting the other one, we’ll see.

The patch on the quarter was welded in but still more to do. This area tucks under making it quite difficult to weld the bottom but I got it done.

?????

Somewhere along the way the quarters were finished up somewhat (may have pictures)

Hmm!

This pretty much wrapped up working on this car as I did get the car and the priority moved to it as that was the idea, a CHP car.
